Clean and wash the vegetables.

Cut the carrot into slices, diced pepper, diced onion and sauté in a little oil.

Add the parsnips and diced potatoes, salt and add 3-4 liters of water.

Don't forget to boil the smoked bacon [just a little to give a vague smoky taste], the bay leaf and the pepper.

They will boil very quickly in a maximum of 25 minutes.
